This is your behind the curtain view of the Adroitly & Co. tech stack. But before we dive into the goodness and why of all the tools we use, let’s chat about what a tech stack is and why it is crucial to have a good one in a remote work field.

In the past few years, the online space has burst open with possibilities of work-from-home opportunities, from employee, to freelancer, or even entrepreneur. This has all been powered by the explosion of business technology AKA tech. Knowing your values, how you work, and what the goals are will greatly help minimize shiny object syndrome and focus on the needed tools.

Here at Adroitly & Co. we believe in keeping things as simple as possible without sacrificing functionality and productivity. The goal is to keep things effective and not jump from tech to tech -which often wastes time, money, and brain space!

Without further ado here is what we are ending 2023 and starting 2024 off with in our tech stack:

Creative Tools

Canva 

With a free and paid version, Canva is a great tool for creating visuals for anything from social media, and email marketing, to your website. It is easy to use and no graphic design experience is needed! We use the pro version billed annually.

Notion 

Notion, Notion, Notion! I love Notion because it satisfies my creative and productive sides all at once. I appreciate that you can build Notion to suit the needs of you and your company. Right now it is where I let my creativity run wild. It is perfect for taking and storing notes for each of my clients, planning out content, brain dumping, and setting goals.

MailerLite

MailerLite is a wonderful email marketing solution. The ease of use when it comes to automations and setup has really made it stand out from the rest. Bonus: It is super affordable! 

ChatGPT

AI has been a HOT topic in 2023! We use it at Adroitly & Co., but quite minimally at this point. I love using it for early marketing planning purposes and as a tool in my brainstorming sessions. This free resource is up there with some of the best AI options around.

Client Communication

Loom

I vote Loom as my favorite client and team communication method of 2023! 

Less meetings = more productive. Yes! I said what I said. I have found reducing meetings has dramatically increased productivity within remote teams. Enter Loom the ability to show exactly what you need and allow your team to keep watch on their time.

Slack

Slack is a great option for client and team communication. My favorite is how it dramatically reduces emails – can I get an AMEN!? Slack also integrates with a variety of other tech making your workday flow seamlessly.

With free and paid versions there is a great solution for every team.

Functionality

LastPass

My hands down favorite way to share passwords between clients and myself. With a variety of features it is a great way to securely get the right password to the right person and place. I love that I can use it between devices making it easy to use on the go.

TunnelBear

TunnelBear is a VPN service. If you are a heavy internet user and have an added layer of security at home, your favorite coffee shop, or while traveling, then a VPN is a must. TunnelBear is affordable and easy to use. I never process a payment, contract, or other important client email without being secure. Plus, all tasks when on a public network are completed using TunnelBear.

Stripe

My favorite payment processor! It works seamlessly with a variety of tech, tools, and platforms and their customer service is fantastic. This is a free service with the only cost being the processing fee when a payment is made.

Zapier

The OG of making all the pieces of the tech tool puzzle come together!

Make

The new kid on the automation street. This is the latest addition to the Adroitly & Co. tech lineup. I have been impressed with it thus far and have clients on the verge of making the jump over to this new platform.

G Suite

Google just builds things right. I use this for email, calendar, drive, sheets, and docs. The functionality, shareability, and integrations make this a no brainer for Adroitly & Co and many small businesses.

Dubsado

I adore this platform. There is a learning curve to set-up (or you can outsource your setup and skip to the good part) but it is so worth it. The ease of proposals, contracts, payments, as well as the functionality and visuals, make it a great tool for any service based business whether offering remote or in-person services.
